French B2: Upper-intermediate
B2 means fluent, spontaneous interaction and the ability to argue a viewpoint in detail. It's the band most Canadian PR candidates target (NCLC 7–8) for maximum Express Entry points.
What B2 French means
At this level you can typically:
- ✓Argue a position and weigh options
- ✓Use the subjunctive and complex relatives (dont)
- ✓Write structured formal correspondence
- ✓Follow extended speech and most TV/news
